Noida, 24 Nov ‘2014: A serial entrepreneur, ideator and influential leader of Purple Seas, Satyendra Tomar was on National News Channel DD News on 24 Nov ’14. In a short interview with the channel, Mr. Tomar revealed about his journey from an IT professional to entrepreneurship. He spoke about his determination to contribute towards the society and how he manages diverse fields of business.
After working 14 years in IT industry in America and Europe, Mr. Tomar has achieved the feat of successful entrepreneur in a sport span. With a foresight of future industry growth, he knew what would hit the Indian market before he embarked on multiple domains simultaneously: e-commerce business, adventure tourism and commercial real estate.
With a capital of just eight lakhs rupees he could generate a turnover of 3000cr in four years from the three business ideas. The story of 37-year-old entrepreneur from Kanpur is inspiring many new businessmen.
A computer science graduate by education, Mr. Tomar always found innovative ways for solving a problem and then turning it into a product. The product when taken out in the market was highly appreciated. From 10 to 14 year s of working experience, Mr. Tomar worked hard on new products – their sales, delivery, and marketing to finally making profit.
With an aim to create a name for himself, Mr. Tomar also wanted to contribute to the society; the people which have helped him evolve in his journey. So, he started off his entrepreneur journey with Real estate business, then IT (as he already had been in the industry) and then going on to adventure tourism which would bring foreign tourists to India.
Today Mr. Tomar stands among one of the known businessmen of India whose sheer dedication and hard work has become an inspiration for many to follow.
